Faranak Foroughi founded Tharwa Management Consultancy, a Dubai-based entity advising wealthy families on strategic wealth management and developing succession planning, in October 2007. She has over 20 years experience in advising wealthy Emirati and GCC families, working with global institutions such as Citibank, Merrill Lynch and HSBC, and establishing and managing private banking businesses for leading banks such as Barclays Private Banking and National Bank of Dubai.
Faranak was a Director of National Bank of Dubai Trust Company Jersey Ltd. until May 2007 and has advised families on trust and estate planning. She has created a multi-family office service to assist family-led businesses in the UAE and Gulf region. Faranak holds a BA degree in Business Management from Ecole Des Cadres Du Commerce et Des Affaires Economiques in Paris.

Ruth-Marie Mackrodt has over 18 years experience in private banking. She worked for National Bank of Abu Dhabi in London as a Senior Relationship Manager in private banking until October 2007, focusing on developing a Dubai client base and family office function, and was involved in a number of substantial commercial property transactions that are the mainstay of NBAD London business. She worked with Julius Baer International Limited London as Director of Marketing for the Middle East until December 2005 focusing on clients from the UAE, Oman and Qatar, specializing particularly in investments and trusts and working closely with investment specialists in London, Switzerland and New York.
Ruth-Marie was also a Director for Barclays Private Bank, London, until March 2001, developing client relationships in the UAE, Qatar, Oman and Iran. She started her career with Citibank Private Banking. Ruth-Marie is a graduate of the SOAS University of London and holds a BA (Hons.) in Arabic and Law.
